Report from Miami

Susan Teller Gallery at Art Miami, A-85

Hugh Mesibov, Dialogue in Armor, 1944

We are still in Florida but heading back to NYC tomorrow. The fairs seemed like a success all around. Art Miami was great with an attendance of more than 40,000. Visitors seemed happy to be there and were very complimentary of the show.  In particular we had interest in works by Hugh Mesibov, Fred Shane, and Lynd Ward.

It’s just beautiful here today although with a projected high in the 60s it isn’t beach weather.

Edited by Art Spiegelman, LYND WARD, SIX NOVELS IN WOODCUTS, was released by The Library of America on October 14.  This handsome publication features, in additional to all the prints for the Novels (dating from 1929 to 1937), nine essays by Ward, and an appreciation by Spiegelman, author of Maus.

The Susan Teller Gallery represents the work of Lynd Ward.
