Hugh Mesibov Reception
Yesterday, Saturday, May 1, at 4 PM, an immigrant rights demonstration marched down Broadway. It added a bit of drama to the reception for Hugh Mesibov. His show, The Wartime Shipyard, Surrealist Works of 1942/45, Paintings and Drawings, runs through Saturday, May 22.
Among the guests were Kitty and Gwyneth Leech, granddaughters of Mesibov’s Philadelphia, WPA Printmaking Workshop supervisor, Michael J. Gallagher.
